Teresa Finlay is a UKCP accredited psychoanalytic psychotherapist, mentalization-based practitioner, clinical supervisor and trainer. In addition to her core qualifications, she has completed further training in relational psychoanalysis, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems.

She has a particular interest in early childhood adversity, attachment and trauma, and how these experiences shape our sense of self and relationship to others. She is particularly interested in how these patterns show up and impact the therapeutic relationship.

Teresa has over 20 years’ clinical experience working in therapeutic communities, private practice, and university counselling services. She currently works with Beacon House, a specialist provider of therapeutic services for those affected by trauma, based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
