Charles Brown

Charles Brown is a senior psychoanalytic psychotherapist and UKCP Fellow.

He is a training psychotherapist and supervisor and lectures at several psychoanalytic training organisations.

Charles is Chair of the Race and Culture Committee at the UKCP Council for Psychoanalytic and Jungian Analysts (CPJA) and a member of the Executive Committee. Charles is a past Chair of the CPJA Ethics Committee. He is an Honorary Fellow and Chair of The British Association for Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic Supervisors (BAPPS), an Associate member of The Arbours Association, and an associate member at AGIP (TheAssociation for Group and Individual Psychotherapy), where he sits on the training committee and delivers training.

Charles is a specialist addictions therapist with over thirty years of experience in rehabilitation treatment centres and therapeutic communities. He has written papers on identity and meaning and contributed chapters to books on psychoanalysis and supervision practice. He is in independent practice in South London.
