Dr Kathrin Stauffer
Kathrin Stauffer PhD, is a UKCP Registered Body Psychotherapist, Supervisor, writer, trainer and conference speaker. She is the author of Emotional Neglect and the Adult in Therapy: Lifelong Consequences to a Lack of Early Attunement (2020), and Anatomy & Physiology for Psychotherapists: Connecting Body & Soul (2010), both published by W.W. Norton.
Originally a research biochemist, she retrained at the Chiron Centre for Body Psychotherapy in London, with an interest in understanding the human body from a subjective point of view, rather than an objective one. She works in private practice in Cambridge as a body psychotherapist, EMDR practitioner, trainer and supervisor. She offers one-to-one body and integrative psychotherapy, with a humanistic approach.
Kathrin Stauffer is known to some as former chair of the Chiron Association for Body Psychotherapists. She is also involved with the European Association for Body Psychotherapy.
